Materials needed:
- A thick piece of tree trunk
- Test tubes, e.g., from vanilla pods
- drill
- sandpaper
- Dark stain or wax
- Water
- Flowers
- Optional: Moss
- Let's start your rustic decorating project together! Carefully saw off a thick slice from the tree trunk and straighten out a curve so your decoration will stand securely later. With each cut, you might already feel the anticipation of the finished result.
- Now for the nitty-gritty! We'll use the drill to make two holes in the bark at the top of the tree trunk. These will later serve as the perfect holders for our test tubes.
- Now it's time to get creative! Take the sandpaper and smooth the surface of the log slices until they are nice and smooth. Then lovingly apply a dark stain or wax to give the wood a warm, rustic charm. Every brushstroke brings the centuries of history of the log to life.
- Time for the finishing touches! Pour water into the test tubes and place your favorite flowers inside. A sight that will warm your heart! Arrange the tubes on the tree trunk and add some moss, if desired, to enhance the natural beauty.
