What do you do if you have found one of the most beautiful chests of drawers ever, but it is in a completely neglected condition? Sometimes, as in this case, it's not enough to lovingly refurbish it, re-glue it, freshly sand it, open doors and drawers, fix loose feet, drive the woodworm out of it, give it a fresh coat of paint, etc. No, sometimes For example, the magnificent leg decoration is missing, such a magical ornament as can be seen on the left side.
Then we have two options: Either we remove the remaining ornament. That would hardly be noticeable. But we can't bring ourselves to do that. The alternative is our father - he loves such challenges and carves the missing ornament out of soft lime wood, often taking hours of work.
