An old bicycle house becomes a nostalgic country house bathroom...
Team Land & Liebe |
We faced a huge challenge at the beginning of the year as we turned a bicycle shed into this beautiful bathhouse. And EVERYTHING was really important. Bathtub yes or no? Where does the shower go? Where is the toilet? Which tiles do we use? Which windows and how many? Which lamps etc.
From the very beginning, there was only one thing that was clear - the washbasin should be large, unique and made of wood... actually only an antique one was possible... so your shop and the beautiful "Kendra" washbasin were like winning the lottery for us...
After eight months of construction, the bathhouse is now finished and impresses with its uniqueness and details such as ancient shutters from France behind which the nostalgic toilet disappears or an illuminated exposed brick wall and Scandinavian lattice windows that open outwards, etc., etc.
And “Kendra” appears on the Badehaus stage as the “protagonist”!
I send you photos of the old French shutters that hide the nostalgic toilet, opened and folded. They are in the original paint. Just cleaned and delicately satinized white.
Above the toilet you can see a screen on which I had a scene from the film “Ridicule - about the ridiculousness of appearances” printed. You can see two maids blowing powder on their mistress. It symbolizes personal hygiene in the 18th century.
We built a “window” in the shower, which is primarily intended to let in light and break through the solid wall. I had a glass made in an Art Nouveau look.
You will feel a touch of nostalgia in all the details in the bathhouse and see the washstand restored by your company in a suitable setting!
We would like to thank you very much for this detailed insight and congratulate you, Ms. Fuß, on this absolutely successful dream bathroom! Your team from Land & Liebe bathroom furniture
